SellerSync is an ecommerce reconciliation and analytics platform operated by Astrid Technologies (“SellerSync”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we collect when you connect your marketplace accounts, how we store and use it, and the choices you have. We collect only the data we need to power your own dashboard and reports.

What data we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address and business details (such as your business name and GSTIN). Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider; we do not store your password.

Marketplace data. When you connect a platform, we read the operational data needed to reconcile your finances. Depending on the platform this includes:

  • Amazon (SP-API): orders, order items, shipping and buyer address region, settlement reports, fees, refunds and returns, and inventory levels.
  • Flipkart: orders, settlements, fees, returns and RTO data.
  • Shopify: orders, payouts, fees, inventory and stock movement.
  • Zoho Books: invoice and accounting sync data used to push reconciled figures into your books.

We do not request or store end-buyer personally identifiable information beyond what is required for reconciliation and GST reporting (for example, the state/region needed to compute inter-state vs intra-state GST). We never use marketplace data for advertising or profiling.

How your data is stored and protected

  • Marketplace credentials, OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted at rest using AES encryption. They are decrypted only in-memory to make authorised API calls on your behalf.
  • Business data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon, encrypted at rest and accessed over encrypted (TLS) connections.
  • Access is scoped per tenant, so your data is isolated from other sellers on the platform.

How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide the SellerSync service to you: reconciling settlements, breaking down fees, tracking returns, computing GST outputs, generating reports and, where you opt in, producing AI-assisted explanations of your numbers. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Your data is used only to power your own dashboard and reports.

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers (“sub-processors”) strictly to operate the service — for example database hosting (Neon), authentication, payment processing for billing, and an AI provider that generates optional explanations of your data. These providers process data only on our instructions and only to deliver the service to you.

Amazon marketplace data obtained through the Selling Partner API (SP-API) is handled in accordance with the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy. It is used only to provide reconciliation and reporting to you, the connected seller, and is never shared with or sold to any other party.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active so your historical reports remain available. You can disconnect any platform at any time, which revokes our access to that platform immediately. When you disconnect a platform or close your account, we delete the associated marketplace data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations.

Your choices and rights

  • Disconnect: revoke our access to any marketplace at any time from Settings.
  • Export: download your reconciled data and reports.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
